During my recent stay at a hostel in Edinburgh, I had a great time exploring the city. The location of the hostel was perfect, allowing me to easily walk to all the main attractions. The beds were comfortable and I especially appreciated the curtains for added privacy. The hostel had a clean and organized atmosphere, and the facilities, including the showers and bathrooms, were well-maintained. The air in Scotland felt fresher compared to other parts of the UK, which was a nice change. Additionally, there were plenty of pubs and bars nearby, offering a vibrant nightlife scene. I would recommend this hostel for its convenient location and comfortable accommodations.
Although my stay was enjoyable, there were a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. First, the luggage storage only accepted coins, which was inconvenient for someone like me who prefers paying by card.

Amazing location! Everything was within walking distance, making it easy to explore all the nearby attractions. The breakfast provided was a nice gesture and helped start the day off on a good note.
The cleanliness of the toilets was a major letdown. the trash cans were overflowing and it seemed like they weren't being properly maintained.

The staff at the hotel were incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The location of the hotel was perfect, right in the heart of the city. It was within walking distance of all the main attractions and also very close to public transportation. Another advantage was the comfortable beds, which made for a good night's sleep.
The cleanliness of the bathrooms left a lot to be desired. They were not always as clean as they should have been and it was a bit off-putting.

I had a smooth and quick check-in experience at the hotel. The beds in the room were comfortable, and the curtains provided privacy in the micro rooms. The air in Scotland felt cleaner and fresher compared to other parts of England. The proximity of the hotel to public transportation, gardens, museums, and the castle was a major advantage. I also enjoyed exploring the various pubs and bars in the area.
The inconvenience of having to go back and forth between two different buildings and up and down stairs, especially for someone like me who is older. It would have been helpful to have a lift in the building where my bed was located.

Value for money was great, got my own themed en-suite apartment which had everything I needed for a short stay and was just 5 minutes from the train station. The location was perfect, with a view of the train station and a convenient bar/restaurant next door. The night shift receptionist was amazing, providing insider tips to navigate the city center without parking.
Breakfast option could've been better, would have loved to be informed about the lounge facility in the other building where we could make coffee and use a microwave. It added to the expense of our stay tremendously.

We had an amazing experience at this hostel. the staff were incredibly friendly and kind, making us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. the dorm rooms were clean and tidy, and the bathrooms were well-maintained. the location couldn't have been better, as we were close to the Old Town and train station. Another bonus was the affordable lockers for storing our belongings. They even went above and beyond by letting us print urgently needed documents for free and offering a low-priced luggage storage option after we checked out. it was a fantastic stay!
It was all superb! 👌.

Convenient location, with key attractions within walking distance and easy access to public transportation. Friendly and helpful staff who were available at the reception to assist with any queries or concerns. - Comfortable beds and mattresses provided a good night's sleep.
Dirty bathroom facilities, particularly the showers, with no curtains causing everything to get wet. Unfriendly staff at the bar.
